Giuseppe Coppola

Dr. Giuseppe Coppola received his Electronic Engineering degree, summa cum laude, and his Ph.D. degrees from University 'FedericoII”, Napoli (Italy), in 1997 and 2001, respectively. Currently, he is a senior researcher at the Institute for Microelectronics and Microsystems of the Italian National Research Council (CNR). Since 2004, he has been the leader of the optoelectronic Lab of that institute. From 2005 to 2012, he was a contract professor at the University of Calabria. His main research interests concern the development of holographic setups for the non-contact characterization and for writing holographic optical elements. On these topics, he is a tutor for post-doc students, Ph.D. students, and several graduating students. During his research activity, he has collaborated for carrying out several national and/or international research projects. Dr. Coppola has published over 200 papers among peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings. He has completed 11 book chapters and 11 patents. His H-index is 36, and he has about 4000 citations (Google Scholar). Dr. Coppola is a Senior Member of the IEEE, a member of the Institute Board of the IMM, and is a reviewer for different scientific journals.
