Kazushi Kishi
Kazushi Kishi holds the chair of department radiation oncology, tumor center, at the Wakayama Medical University Hospital, and is an Associate Professor of Department of Radiology at Wakayama Medical University, Wakayama City, Japan. His academic background includes PhD in radiology. He is a council of Japanese Society of Therapeutic Radiology (JASTRO), Japanese Radiological Society (JRS), Biological Group of JRS, and a member of American Society of Therapeutic Radiation Oncology and American Society of Brachytherapy. His current work is focused on interventional brachytherapy that expands the possibility of brachytherapy, i.e., to increase the therapeutic ratio of effect/toxicity, and enthusiastically developing new advantageous strategies, even to the difficult conditions as re-irradiation. He has published over more than 250 papers including 62 peer reviewed English journal articles. His work is currently supported by Grant-in-aid and now being widely recognized in the field of radiation oncology and cancer medicine.
