New IntechOpen Books From the Knowledge Unlatched Select 2023 Programme

20 March 2023

In 2023, IntechOpen will be releasing eight new books in the Social Sciences and Humanities, Climate Change, and Global Health topics, supported by the KU Select 2023 Programme.  This follows our successful previous partnership with Knowledge Unlatched, which published fifty books in Engineering and Physics.

Knowledge Unlatched, a Wiley company, makes scholarly content freely available to everyone and contributes to the further development of the OA infrastructure. Their online marketplace provides libraries around the world with a central place to support Open Access collections from leading publishing houses including new OA initiatives.

The selection process for the KU Select 2023 Programme involves the initial review of book titles by the KU Selection Committee, followed by a pledging procedure and the support of libraries across the world.

Our latest collaboration with KU is helping to raise awareness of the importance of supporting new research by making publications freely available worldwide.

The first title is available now

“Happiness - Biopsychosocial and Anthropological Perspectives” is the first of eight books published as part of IntechOpen and Knowledge Unlatched collaboration. It is edited by Floriana Irtelli (Catholic University of the Sacred Heart, Italy) and Fabio Gabrielli, Nobel Prize Nominee (Università Lum Jean Monnet).

This book, which forms part of KU Select 2023: HSS Frontlist Books, has been fully funded both by IntechOpen and Knowledge Unlatched, enabling the authors to publish their work free of Open Access publishing fees.
