IntechOpen Open Access Books Now Available on China’s Leading Reading Platform - CNPIEC's CNPeReading

07 November 2017

Today, at a signing ceremony at Interliber 2017, IntechOpen signed a distribution agreement with China National Publications Import & Export (Group) Corporation (CNPIEC). The agreement secures the distribution of the world's largest portfolio of Open Access books, published by IntechOpen, on the CNPeReading platform.

CNPeReading offers digital resource selection and access services to over 200 libraries and institutions by integrating digital resources published by the world’s leading publishers such as Princeton University Press, Cambridge Scholars Publishing, Wiley, Elsevier and now IntechOpen.

The signing ceremony was a very important and significant event attended by Mr. Hu Zhaoming, Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to the Republic of Croatia, Mr. Lin Liying, Vice General Manager of CNPIEC, Damir Boras, President of the University of Zagreb, representatives of the Confucius Institute at the University of Zagreb, and a representative of the Ministry of Culture of Croatia.

This agreement not only marks a huge accomplishment for IntechOpen but one for the Republic of Croatia. At the ceremony, a Chinese database was gifted to the National and University Library of Croatia and the Confucius Institute at the University of Zagreb.

This partnership is a natural step for IntechOpen as we continue to solidify our position as a proven leader in Open Access book publishing not only in China but worldwide, and continue to grow the world’s largest collection of Open Access books, all while offering our authors and editors the recognition and visibility their published research deserves.
