IntechOpen Featured on OAPEN List of Book Publishers Complying with Open Access Requirements of Funders

30 March 2017

The Open Access Publishing in European Networks (OAPEN) Library, just introduced a new list of book publishers that comply with Open Access requirements for books resulting from research that was funded by the European Research Council (ERC), Wellcome Trust and the Austrian Science Fund (FWF).

IntechOpen is one of the first publishers to be added to the list, and has the largest Open Access book offering.

The main purpose of the list is to inform authors about compliant publishers. After confirmed compliance with the FP7 post-grant OA pilot and Horizon 2020, presence on the list again confirms IntechOpen’s compliance with research funders' general Open Access policies and mandates.

Going forward for all of our authors with projects funded by the above mentioned funders, we are going to arrange and handle deposit within OAPEN on authors' behalf.

The OAPEN Library contains freely accessible academic books and works with publishers to build a quality controlled collection of Open Access books, providing services for publishers, libraries and research funders in the areas of deposit, quality assurance, dissemination, and digital preservation.

The OAPEN list can be found here.

IntechOpen chapters deposited in the OAPEN Library thus far can be found here.
