IntechOpen Presents at STM's Annual Frankfurt Conference

21 September 2016

IntechOpen's Managing Director, Sara Uhač, will be speaking at STM’s Annual Frankfurt Conference on October 18, 2016. The STM Association is the leading global trade association for academic and professional publishers whose members include learned societies, university presses, and private companies.

Ms. Uhač’s presentation, titled “Open Access Books - The New Model” will review a new book publishing model and a product that IntechOpen pioneered.  Both publishing model and product build on concepts such as a greater focus on sharing research through Open Access, author care, customer experience, time efficiency and technology solutions, that lead to a wide dissemination of content and proliferation of knowledge with the aim at supporting the mission to give researchers an opportunity to make a greater impact within the scientific community.

The conference also presents Brian Nosek, Co-founder & Executive Director, Center for Open Science, who will be opening up the conference with a keynote presentation titled “Increasing openness will increase credibility of scholarly research.”

Speakers from Digital Science, EDINA, Highwire, Semantico, Springer Nature, and The University of Sheffield, will all be sharing their insights and their experience in various business models shaping the STM industry.
