16th Annual World Cancer Day

04 February 2016

World Cancer Day is a global event held every year on February 4. It aims to save millions of preventable deaths each year by raising awareness and education about the diseases, pressing governments and individuals across the world to take action.

Organized by the Union for International Cancer Control and taking place under the tagline "We can. I can.", World Cancer Day 2016 explores how everyone, as a collective or as individuals, can do their part to reduce the global burden of cancer.

To date, IntechOpen has contributed to the global discussion by publishing and giving free access to more than 100 open access books, covering all aspects of cancer research.

In 2016, to expand further the existing catalog, IntechOpen will be launching seven new books covering the latest research in these areas:

  • Anticancer Drugs
  • Oral Cancer - Risk Factors and Prevention Strategies
  • Bladder Cancer
  • Breast Cancer
  • Liver Cancer
  • Lung Cancer
  • Osteosarcoma

If you are specialist and would like to contribute to one of these books, please contact: editor@intechopen.com.
