Pranas Viškelis

Pranas Viškelis, Ph.D., is a professor and head of the Biochemistry and Technology Laboratory at the Institute of Horticulture, Lithuanian Research Centre for Agriculture and Forestry. His main research interests are the biochemistry and chemical composition of fruit and vegetables, post-harvest storage, food chemistry, and processing technology. He is a member of the Lithuanian Academy of Sciences. He has co-authored more than 400 scientific publications, including over 130 publications in the Clarivate Analytics Web of Science database, as well as ten books and 11 book chapters. He has 14 fruit and vegetable varieties to his name.
