Marzia Salgarello
Marzia Salgarello was born in Rovigo, Italy on 14/06/1959, she graduated in 1983 in Rome at the Catholic University of 'Sacro Cuore”, Rome, Italy, and has specialized in Plastic Surgery in 1988. She is now Assistant Professor of Plastic Surgery working at the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery of the University Hospital 'Agostino Gemelli”, Catholic University of 'Sacro Cuore” of Rome, Italy, where she also is in charge of the microsurgery teaching program. At the present time she focuses her activity on breast reconstruction and aesthetic, and in post-oncologic reconstructive microsurgery. She is author of about 70 peer-reviewed articles and of chapters in 6 books. She has given presentations at national and international plastic surgery meetings, especially covering all aspects of breast reconstruction and aesthetic breast surgery. She is Section Editor for reconstructive plastic surgery for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery Journal. Member of the Italian Society of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery, of the Italian Society of Microsurgery, and of the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery.
