Karin Tamm-Rosenstein

Dr. Tamm-Rosenstein completed her Master's studies in Neurobiology investigating the role of neurotrophic factors, BDNF and GDNF, in peripheral nerve development. After graduation, she started to work as an embryologist in an IVF clinic where she became fascinated with human embryology and implantation process. After a year she started her Ph.D. studies where she investigated the role of estrogen and progesterone in the development of human endometrium. The coordinated action of steroid hormones plays a crucial role in the preparation of the endometrium to be ready for embryo implantation.
