Alemayhu Lemma, DVM, PhD born in Ethiopia in January, 1967, graduated with DVM from Addis Ababa University (AAU) in 1990. He subsequently worked as a field veterinarian and later joined AAU in 1995. He completed his PhD studies in Animal Reproduction from Humboldt University of Berlin in 2004. Since then, he is working in the same university with continued researches in livestock reproduction mainly focusing on ovarian activities, AI, embryo transfer, and semen cryopreservation. He has authored/co-authored several scientific publications and contributed a chapter in a book on Artificial Insemination in farm Animals. He has over 20 years of expereince in veterinay science. He is currently head of the veterinary teaching hospital, and an associate professor in animal reproduction at AAU.
