Qing Peng

Qing Peng is a postdoctoral research associate in Department of Mechanical, Aerospace & Nuclear Engineering, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He received his Ph.D. degree in Department of Physics from University of Connecticut in 2005. He had been postdoctoral researcher in Carnegie Institute of Washington, California State University Northridge and Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis. He has been working on interdisciplinary research projects involving polymer science, geological sciences, materials science and engineering, nanoscience & nanotechnology, and energy science. His current research focuses on multiscale and first-principles computational modeling and simulation of materials. He is the primary author of the QCDFT (Quasi-Continuum Density Functional Theory) method.
