Kashif Saeed
Kashif Saeed (S’06–M’08 IEEE) received the B.Eng. (with honors, first class), M.Sc., and Ph.D. degrees in electronic and communications engineering from the University of Leeds, Leeds, U.K., in 2002, 2004, and 2008, respectively. He is currently working as a Post-Doctoral Research Associate with the Institute of Microwave and Photonics, School of Electronic and Electrical Engineering, University of Leeds, where he is involved in the study of low-dimensional electronic systems at microwave frequencies. Dr. Saeed is an active member of the IEEE and has recently organized a workshop on “Emerging Microwave, mm-Wave and Terahertz Applications Sensors and Imaging Systems†to be held at the European Microwave Conference, 2011, Manchester, UK. In 2007, he was a Summer Intern with Agilent Technologies, where he was involved in the design and application of microwave biosensors in microfluidics. His research interests include the area of high-frequency material characterization and microwave circuit design and miniaturization techniques on LTCC and thick-film technology. Dr. Saeed was also a recipient of the 2002 U.K. and RI IEEE Communications Chapter Prize for the best project in the area of telecommunications.
