Nanomaterials and Nanotechnology Topic EiC to speak at International Conference and Expo on Advanced Ceramics and Composites
November 17, 2015
Nanomaterials and Nanotechnology journal’s Topic Editor-in-Chief Samuel Bernard (CNRS, University of Montpellier - France, and Nagoya Institute of Technology - Japan), has been included as a speaker at the 40th International Conference and Expo on Advanced Ceramics and Composites (ICACC’16), to be held on January 24 to 29, 2016, in Daytona Beach, FL, USA.
ICACC’16 is organised by The American Ceramic Society and will be addressing research and product developments in advanced ceramics, armour ceramics, solid oxide fuel cells, ceramic coatings, bioceramics, and more. The conference’s technical program and industry expo is an excellent opportunity for scientists, researchers, engineers, and industries from around the world to present and exchange findings on recent advances on various aspects related to ceramic science and technology.
Our Nanocomposites Topic Editor-in-Chief, Samuel Bernard, will be giving a presentation titled “Polymer-Derived (Carbo)Nitride Nanocomposites with multifunctionality”, based on the research carried out in collaboration with Abhijeet Lale, Vanessa Proust, Umit Demirci from the Institut Européen des Membranes, Université Montpellier, France. Dr. Bernard will report the preparation of (carbo)nitride nanocomposite powders in which topologies, shapes and morphologies are tuned through the molecular design of preceramic polymers combined with shaping and pyrolysis processes. The presentation will particularly focus on the preparation of nanocomposites from porous to dense structures for energy applications.
