InTech to be Represented at Inaugural International Conference on Nanomaterials

September 26, 2012

Nanomaterials and Nanotechnology, the peer-reviewed international open access journal, will be represented at the International Conference on Nanomaterials: Fundamentals and Applications, University of P.J.Safarik in Kosice, Slovakia by one of the leading scholars in the field and Editor-in-Chief, Dr Paola Prete.

This inaugural international symposium, which runs from October 3 – 6, will bring together scientists from around the world to share and discuss a range of key issues in addition to serving as an excellent opportunity for networking with industry peers in a relaxed setting.

From new applications and new properties of nanotechnology and nanomaterials for sustainable energy, to bionanomaterials and chips and nanoanalytical miniaturized systems, the conference aims to increase and expand our knowledge of this increasingly specialized field of science.

Edited by Dr Prete, and the first speaker to address the conference on the morning of Wednesday 3 October, the Nanomaterials and Nanotechnology journal will be welcoming articles represented at the three-day conference.

Dr Prete, from the Institute for Microelectronics and Microsystems at the University of Lecce, Italy is a foremost authority in study of semiconductors whose recent research is focused on bottom-up techniques for the self-assembly of III-V nanostructures and metal nanoparticles for applications in nano- opto- electronics and sensing. As Editor-in-Chief of Nanomaterials and Nanotechnology, Dr Prete will be on hand to answer any questions that attendees may have about how to get the results of their work published.

With over 95 papers published in her own right and an impressive number of citations to her credit, Dr Prete is perfectly placed to share her experiences of being published and will provide both recently qualified PhD students/researchers and experienced academics/scientists alike with aspirations of becoming published authors in their own right.

Nanomaterials and Nanotechnology is a peer-reviewed journal published using the open access model. It aims to bring together the science and applications of nanoscale and nanostructured materials with an emphasis on the synthesis, processing, characterization, and applications of materials containing nanometric dimensions or nanostructures that enable novel/enhanced properties or functions.

Highlighting the continued growth and new challenges within the nanotechnology field, both for application development and for basic research, Nanomaterials and Nanotechnology is published using the open access model and under a Creative Commons License. All papers will be freely available to read, download and share via the intechopen.com reading platform.

This multi-disciplinary international journal aims to be a world-class research platform for academics, managers and professionals to publish scholarly research in the global arena.
