IntechOpen Regional Research Spotlight Series - India

16 July 2015

IntechOpen Regional Research Spotlight Series focuses on highlighting fruitful and successful collaborations developed by our team with particular countries and its notable scientists, researchers institutions and companies actively involved in the field of STM. IntechOpen is proud to have worked with many international editors and authors throughout the years and with the Spotlight Series our goal is to say thank you to some of our international partners whom we also met in person.

Among these partners we find institutions and collaborators located in India, a country that has seen a 115% increase in output of Web of Science papers (2003 - 2012). This change that occurred over the last decade pushed India's science communities towards novel opportunities in terms of visibility of their research output as well as access to international science hubs and a worldwide readership.

In this view, IntechOpen has been on the forefront of leveraging its Indian editors and authors' published content as well as promoting InTech's publications by international scientists locally via Indian-based book representatives. To find out more about our activities and collaborations with this country, we invite you to read our report below.

Our Indian Authors and Editors

IntechOpen has published more than 1,080 authors and more than 110 books with editors from India, covering a diverse range of topics within the STM field.

These authors and editors are currently employed by some of the most prestigious Indian universities. Most collaborations were established with authors from the following institutions:

  • Banaras Hindu University
  • All India Institute of Medical Sciences
  • National Institute of Technology
  • Jadavpur Universit
  • National Chemical Laboratory
  • University of Hyderabad
