InTech adds two more Journals to Inspec index

InTech, a leading provider of scholarly STM content and the worlds largest publisher of open access books, is pleased to announce the inclusion of two of it's journals in the Inspec database - International Journal of Engineering Business Management and Nanomaterials and Nanotechnology.

Inspec's (IET – The Institution of Engineering and Technology) database is the leading bibliographic database in the fields of electronics, physics, computer science and engineering and an invaluable resource for scientists and engineers. And the inclusion of these two journals is in recognition of InTech's continued commitment to producing high quality content that is both timely and relevant for the scientific community.

Mia Devic, senior commissioning editor, underlines the relevance for InTech. She said: “The availability of high quality research is of critical importance for researchers and scientists and Inspec's database provides one of the largest sources of engineering and technology content for those involved in this field.

“Inclusion of these two journals is a great achievement for InTech and a testament to the high standards of research undertaken by our authors who can now enjoy greater exposure and wider dissemination of their work.”

Henk Compier, managing director, added:

"We are very delighted that the IET has decided to index these prominent journals. Not only is this further evidence of the increasing acceptance of the open access publishing model - of which InTech has been an early proponent – it, perhaps more importantly, ensures that the researchers who have chosen to work with us as their publisher of choice will receive the exposure and recognition they deserve.

In 2011 alone, the number of downloaded book chapters and articles outperformed the number of any year between 2005 and 2010 and exceeded the combined totals for each of the preceding years to currently stand at over 13 million downloads to date.
All InTech's activities evolve around helping all its authors publish the results of their research and ensure its is read and shared by their peers globally.
