Following the announcement of our IJARS Women in Robotics ambassadors - Dr. Amy Loufti and Dr. Nina Robson - and their personal stories, we finally reveal our last female ambassador, Dr. M. Bernardine Dias (Carnegie Mellon University, USA). Dr. Dias has kindly agreed to support our initiative and has joined us in promoting women professionals in robotics. Here is her story.
Make sure not to miss our latest IJARS Video Series’ clip featuring a presentation by Prof. Fabio Bonsignorio, founder and CEO of Heron Robots as well as affiliate professor at the Biorobotics Institute (Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna, Italy). The video lecture titled “New AI and Robotics” is centered on novel ideas that might just lead to a paradigm change in the robotics landscape that would allow for robots to spend less computing power and rely more on cognitive knowledge extracted from network interaction physical agents. watch the video
IJARS Women in Robotics is a project that we started with the aim to bring into the spotlight the scientific accomplishments of women working in robotics. The goal is to further encourage female authors' submissions to the journal and award the best manuscript. In this spirit and as a part of the initiative, we present you two of our female ambassadors that have agreed to support this special project and will be acting as judges for the best papers selection - Dr. Amy Loutfi and Dr. Nina Robson.
