Become a Book Editor - Edited Volumes

Edited Volumes are an integrated collection of chapters around a particular theme that represents a new area of research or a novel synthesis of existing research and, as such, presents authors’ various perspectives.

The quality of more than 2,500 books published by InTech so far is the result of voluntary editorial engagement of leading international experts. All publications are highly specialized and therefore we collaborate with editors who have a sound knowledge of the study areas along with good organizational skills and a strong ability to meet deadlines.

InTech Book Editors benefit from:

  • GREATER VISIBILITY
Book format enables the larger academic community to know the editor and his/her research focus. All books are published on InTechOpen platform which registers an average of 170,000 visits per week. Increased scientific impact and visibility among scientific communities offer the possibility of increasing editor's citations. Also, in 2015, Thomson Reuters started indexing our books in its ISI Web of Science Book Citation Index (BKCI).
  • NEW FORMS OF COLLABORATION
Book format makes it possible for the editor to engage colleagues as coeditors or authors on the book they are editing. On the other hand, it offers them an opportunity to work with international authors active in diverse fields on a single project. This kind of collaborative effort allows you to expand your scientific circle.
  • OUR FULL SUPPORT
Editors receive full technical support for their editorial work in the form of a manuscript tracking system and a Publishing Process Manager who handles the communication with authors.
  • PRINTED BOOKS
Even though our books are primarily online publications, our editors receive 2 hard copies and an electronic copy of the book they edited and a discounted price on the purchase of any InTech book in the future. Also, we include editor's personal picture and a short CV on the back cover of his/her book.

If you are an experienced scientist in the STM field and you are interested in collaborating with us as a Book Editor, we invite you to send us your application. The catalogue of planned edited volumes and an application form can be found below.
